There are almost as many types of sealers as there are merchandise bags that need to be sealed. The units come in a variety of sizes from small hand-held units to large foot operated impulse sealers.
There are typically two types of bag sealers. The most common uses a combination of heat and pressure to seal the bag. This is the type most often used in shops and small businesses. They don't require any training to use and are able to seal a bag with a minimum of cost and fuss.
The second method involves vacuum sealing bags and these units are more expensive and often require a bit of training to use properly. These units seal the bag while simultaneously removing the air from the interior of the bag. This method is most appropriate for use with items that are fragile or perishable. These vacuum seal units are often built to seal a specific size package and often require ordering a unit from custom sealers.
While some smaller units can be purchased over the counter at large office supply stores, larger units and ones that require special features need to be purchased from wholesale sealers.

“Everything for the reorder of our bags was great. The update to new logo was handled well and the bags even arrived earlier than expected. My only question was on the shipping. We received each box individually shipped ground by UPS and I do not understand why this was the preferred shipping method rather than shipping all on one pallet. It would have been nice to have been offered alternative shipping that may have been less costly.”
